Dong Tao is a Managing Director and the Vice Chairman Greater China for Credit Suisse Private Banking Asia Pacific. Dr. Tao was ranked #1 in First Business News Survey and is highly regarded by investors worldwide. He has published more than ten books in his career. Dr. Tao joined Credit Suisse in 1998 as the Chief Regional Economist for non-Japan Asia, with a focus on China. He moved from investment bank to private bank in July 2016. Rebecca Donnellan, Director of Sustainability, MGM Macau
Rebecca is responsible for overseeing MGM’s environmental management programme, specifically managing projects for energy and water conservation, waste and recycling, green building, green procurement and stakeholder engagement. She works across departments from Hotel Operations, to F&B, to Design and Development, to Procurement in an effort to integrate sustainability considerations into operations. Prior to working at MGM, Rebecca was a management consultant in PwC’s Sustainability & Climate Change practices in London and Sydney, assisting multinationals in their sustainability strategy development and programme roll out.
Ellie Tang, Head of Sustainability, New World Development Company Limited
Ellie is currently Head of Sustainability at New World Development, where she launched and drives the “New World Sustainability Vision 2030” across all major Group companies. Ellie leads the Group’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting, risk management, environmental management, and green financing initiatives. Also serving as General Manager – Sustainability at K11 Group Limited, Ellie supports Hong Kong and Mainland China property projects from planning to customer experience design. Previously, Ellie was the Asia Pacific Coordinator of the “HSBC Water Programme”, a USD100m global partnership which invests in freshwater and sanitation projects to improve livelihoods. She also has experience in sustainability management in the REIT sector, environmental and health policy research, as well as UNFCCC Clean Development Mechanism carbon credit project advisory.

Rebecca decided to quit a successful career to work in non-profit. Now a public speaker, she delivers talks for free to help people adopt a healthy and responsible lifestyle. A French citizen and a mandarin speaking professional, Rebecca has lived in Asia for over 14 years including Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and now Singapore. She works with various non-profit organisations with the project “Let us be Heroes” to empower people to become a line of defense for their health, the planet and the animals.

Brian is the Co-founder and President of the Reducetarian Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to reducing consumption of meat, eggs, and dairy to create a healthy, sustainable, and compassionate world. He is the editor of The Reducetarian Cookbook and The Reducetarian Solution. His writings have appeared in various media outlets including The Atlantic, The Washington Post and The New York Daily News.
Matt Rice, President, Mercy For Animals
Matt is the President for Mercy For Animals. He used to serve as Director of Investigations for the organisation, working closely with investigators to obtain video footage and other evidence of animal abuse at factory farms. Matt also worked on drafting criminal complaints and securing animal cruelty convictions against individuals and facilities that abuse animals. Investigations by MFA have led to raids of factory farms, rescues of abused and neglected farmed animals, passage of landmark anti-cruelty legislation and corporate animal welfare policy reforms.
David Yeung, Co-founder & CEO, Green Monday
David is the Co-founder and CEO of Green Monday, a social venture founded in Hong Kong that tackles climate change and global food insecurity through public advocacy, impact investing, corporate consulting, and specialised retail. Vikas Garg, Founder & CEO, abillionVeg
Vikas is the Founder and CEO of abillionVeg, a social media and consumer internet platform launched in 2017, accelerating a global consumer movement towards plant-based living. Prior to launching abV, Vikas spent his career in finance as an analyst, portfolio manager and fund manager at CalPERS, Dymon Asia Capital, Credit Suisse First Boston and 1/0 Capital. Vikas is involved with grassroots minority education initiatives and animal welfare programmes around the world. He graduated from Emory University in Atlanta and resides in Singapore.
Vivian Kong, Hong Kong Olympian Fencer
Vivian is a full-time athlete on the Hong Kong fencing team. She is a 2016 Rio Olympian, NCAA champion, and current world #6 rank women’s epee fencer. She became a pescetarian in college and decided to turn vegan in 2017. As a plant-fuelled athlete, she hopes to show how good she feels and prove that she is stronger than before. Vivian is now training for the 2020 Olympics, finishing her masters in Chinese Law, and she will be starting her Juris Doctor this fall.

Klaus’ background as a scientist underpins his thorough approach that has helped make Plant Based News one of the leading digital media outlets on the latest developments of the industry. He is experienced in several research roles, including at Kings College London (Department of Twin Research and Genetic Epidemiology) and Portsmouth University (Institute of Marine Sciences).
